I remember waking up one cool morning in April and hearing it.

“Today’s the day!  Your baby brother or sister will be here!”

Wedding and reception decorations for our English countryside wedding

Time has a funny way of going about things.  Today is our second wedding anniversary, and yet it feels like it was only a couple months ago.

Finally found a good excuse to use up some of the ribbon collection - a tag blanket for the kiddo! It went straight into her mouth, which I think is a compliment. Happy 4 months, baby girl! #tagblanket #somuchribbon #diypattern #wingingit #sewingproject #babytoy #4monthsold #shelovesit Setting up the new planner... one-handed. ❤️ #newplanner #2019 #littlebitlate #diy #smallbusiness #smallbusinessowner #crafterlife #ilovestickers #babyfeet #everythingisonehandedthesedays While I've been sewing for a while, this was the first time following a pattern (SO COMPLICATED). My mom used to make our Christmas dresses and I was determined to do one for our baby girl's first Christmas. Took about a week of naps and late nights, it's way too long and it's got wonky sleeves, but got it done just in time. And, she didn't poop or spit up on it on Christmas so that's definitely a win #babysfirstchristmas #handmade #christmasdress #diy #fabric #project #parentgoals #ishouldprobablystartonnextyearssoon This year didn't turn out at all like I'd imagined. Last New Year's I was sitting in England with a pretty calendar full of new ideas, schedules, and dreams. Fatigue postponed everything, and then we decided to toss social media aside and enjoy the ride. This New Year's I'm looking forward to dressing this little one in her new sparkly outfit and cuddling up on the couch with my two favorite people. Maybe I'll pick up a new calendar and start again, but I sure am loving this new adventure. (Not pictured: me wrapped around that littlest finger.) . . . #welcometomommyhood #iloveher #2018 #bestyearyet #babygirl
